About Malvern College
Where cricketing excellence meets academic distinction
When you step onto Malvern College's grounds this summer, you'll experience more than just outstanding cricket facilities. You'll glimpse what makes Malvern one of the UK's top cricketing schools – and why families return year after year, not just for our festivals, but for the education we provide.

A rich cricketing heritage
Cricket has been played at Malvern College since 1872, when the Senior Turf was first laid beneath the stunning backdrop of the Malvern Hills. For over 150 years, we've nurtured young cricketers who've gone on to represent counties and countries. Recent Malvernians include Tom Kohler-Cadmore (Somerset and England Lions), Jack Haynes (Worcestershire and England U19s), and Olly Cox – Wisden Schools Cricketer of the Year 2023.

We've hosted Cricket Festivals for thirty years, watching many players progress through county age groups and beyond. Our strong partnerships with Worcestershire and Warwickshire County Cricket Clubs mean our pupils benefit from Academy and Emerging Player Programmes whilst maintaining excellent academic standards.

World-class facilities, world-class education
The pitches, boarding houses, and indoor facilities your team enjoys during the festival are the same spaces our pupils use throughout the year. Three full-time Level 3 cricket coaches, state-of-the-art analysis technology, and extensive practice facilities support both those aiming for professional cricket and those playing purely for enjoyment.

But cricket is just one part of the Malvern experience. As an All-Steinway School we're equally passionate about music, drama, and the arts. Our pupils achieve outstanding academic results, with many progressing to top universities whilst maintaining their sporting ambitions.

Scholarships for talented young cricketers
We offer prestigious Cricket Scholarships at 13+ and 16+ for pupils with exceptional talent and dedication. Recent scholars have represented England, Netherlands, and Canada at youth level whilst thriving academically.

Your visit to our Cricket Festival offers the perfect opportunity to experience Malvern College first-hand. Walk the grounds, feel the atmosphere, and imagine what daily life here could mean for your young cricketer.
